- Just prior to the demolition of the old Centralia High School, these photos were taken in December 1970 and January 1971; this building stood stately on the corner of Iron and Pear and was the site for the first Centralia Junior College classes in the fall of 1925. A gymnasium was added in 1937 that still stands today. The columns from the front of the old school were kept in tact and are now a centerpiece of the college's Heritage Court.
