Notes

General Note:
In 1992, the college officially dedicated the Kiser Gardens located along the pathway between Ehret Hall and the Batie Science Center with life sciences instructors Greg Garman and Dave Martin helping lay the stone in place; the gardens were named after longtime instructor Rufus Kiser who taught botany, biology, forestry and zoology from 1941-1973. In preparation for construction of the new Science building, Ehret Hall and Batie Science Center were demolished in 2007, and the plants from the garden were relocated throughout the campus; for more information on the Rufus Kiser gardens, see http://www.centralia.ctc.edu/Depts/Science/Bioscience/kiser.html; many of Rufus Kiser's plants photographs are also available for viewing online
