- Loren Roberts was found guilty, but insane and committed to a state hospital near Spokane. Shortly after. he was transferred to prison where he served his sentence until his release on August 20, 1930. He returned to logging and became an honored member of the International Woodworkers of America. He married and was still living in Bucoda in the 1960's.
