- This introduction written by I.W.W. member Gene (Eugene) Nelson in 1971 was included in the 1973 reprint of Ralph Chaplin's book, The Centralia Conspiracy. The book was reprinted more recently by Bibliobazaar and is available at the Centralia College library. While the introduction retells the struggle of the I.W.W. in general, it focuses on the events of the Centralia Massacre in 1919 and many of the people involved.
