- General Note:
- Rufus Kiser used the Seminary Hill Natural Area to botanize and collect samples for his classes, and also led many hikes through the area. In the late 1970's, he wrote a series of articles for the "Daily Chronicle" which appeared once a month for a year. A "Chronicle" photographer, Harry Hillstrom, accompanied Rufus on these walks and took these photos which were used as illustrations for the newspaper articles. In 1980, Robert and Sandy Godsey, gathered the twelve articles together and published them in a book entitled, "Walking With Rufus." These photos were all included in the book, but original prints are housed in the Centralia College Kirk Library.
